Why do we sit Exams?
The syllabus for each grade or level in any form of dance is developed to help dancers progress in technique while maintaining safe levels of strength and flexibility to avoid injuries.
Exams and assessments motivate and encourage students to keep working through a systematic measurement of their progress and achievements. The syllabus companies work hard to provide appropriate material for each level, taking into account age, comprehension capabilities, attention spans, motor skills and coordination.
When our dancers sit exams, they build self-confidence and self-esteem as well as achieve something they can be proud of! So important for all kids of all ages!
What happens on exam day?
Exam days are so much FUN! From getting your hair done, working with friends and putting yourself to the test - dancers and teachers alike love the day.
We understand it can be daunting if it is your first time, so check out our video below and see just how easy the day is.
Have you heard about HYPE?
The HYPE Series is THE best day of the year — and every Dance24Seven exam student knows it! It's your moment to own the stage, show off what you've been working on, and soak up all the cheers from your biggest fans in the audience.
Then it's time to turn it UP for Gala Night — where our troupes and selected classes bring the house down with next-level performances that'll give you goosebumps.
Whether it's your first time under the lights or you live for the spotlight, HYPE is where the magic happens. Don't miss it!

Does my child have to sit exams?
Exams are not compulsory, however we highly recommend students do sit exams as it is great experience, as well as a challenge.
And most of all, they are FUN!
What do I do with my child's hair on exam day?
Exam day is made super easy for our parents.
We will have all the info you need and if you are stuck, our amazing team will be on hand to help.
Where do I find all the exam information?
All you need to know for exams will be on display in the studio and also emailed out. This includes mock exams as well.
On the exam timetable there is an arrival time as well as an exam time. All information provided is to make sure it is a fun and stress free day.
