How do I book a free trial class?
Pick a class and time yourself on our trial booking page. You can filter by your child's age, then press "Register" on a date. Class Manager will ask you to sign in or create an account to confirm. Not sure which class? Answer two quick questions and we'll suggest one.
Is the trial class really free?
Yes. Your first trial class is free, with no commitment.
Does my child need a uniform for the trial?
No. No uniform is needed for the first class.
How much do classes cost?
Pricing varies based on class size. See our timetable and fees page for current fees. Your first trial class is free.
Do we pay per class or per term?
After the free trial, families commit for the term, and fees are invoiced per term. Prices on our fees page are based on a 10-week term and vary when invoiced.
Are there discounts for more than one class?
Yes, per child: 2.5% off for three classes a week, 10% for five to seven classes, 15% for eight classes and 20% for nine classes.
How young can my child start?
From 18 months. Tiny Tots is for 18 months to 3 years, and Mini Movers is our pre-school class for ages 2 to 5. See every Saturday pre-school class with times.
When are the pre-school classes?
All pre-school classes are on Saturday mornings. Tiny Tots is 9:30–10:00am, and Mini Movers is 9:00–9:30am or 10:00–10:30am. The full list is on our pre-school page.
Can I stay in the room during Mini Movers?
Yes, one parent can stay in the studio for Mini Movers, but we encourage children to dance by themselves.
Can we join during Term 4?
Yes, you're more than welcome to jump into class during Term 4. Because the end-of-year show is already in rehearsals, new enrolments won't be in this year's show. It's a great head start for next year without the stage pressure.
When is the end-of-year show?
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026, with dress rehearsals on 7 and 8 November. There are no regular Saturday classes on 21 November.
What are the 2026 term dates?
Term 1: 2 February to 2 April. Term 2: 20 April to 4 July. Term 3: 20 July to 26 September. Term 4: 12 October to 28 November. No classes on public holidays. See studio information.
How do we enrol after the trial?
Enrol through our Parent Portal, or email Anna at studio@dance247.co.nz and she'll help.
